Otagiri was an importer of Japanese stoneware and ceramics between 1958 and 1994. The make on this music box is immaculate, with a detailed paint job and a functional mechanism. There’s an on/off latch on the side of the music box, and a wind-up on the bottom. Works perfectly, good condition but expect signs of age.
IMPORTANT: Music Box Care Music box mechanisms can be damaged when overwound, hence generally I do not recommend winding more than 3/4 of a full turn at one go. Let the music play out and wind it again instead of winding excessively.
